“There’s nothing a little ‘pen tool’ on Illustrator can’t fix,” say the guys at 2020. At least that’s what they like to think. They would also like to think that clumsy and cartoony are not the two best words to describe the work.
2020 was started by graduate students at Cranbrook Academy of Art as an excuse to do fun loose work related to print, make believe brand identity, and typography. Their simple objective was to distract themselves from their more serious thesis work. It has since evolved into an open source site where anyone interested in having fun with logos and type can join in and submit work in the form of posters or zines related to the numbers or letters, 2020.
